Rollie Fingers joined the Oakland A’s in 1968 and was World Series MVP in 1974 and the AL’s MVP in 1981. He received the Cy Young Award in 1981 and had 341 saves in the regular season and six in three World Series with the Oakland A’s (1972, 1973, 1974). Fingers was voted relief pitcher of the decade for the ’70s. He played 17 years in the majors and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992.

Inducted into the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 1993.
