A member of the University of San Francisco’s undefeated 1951 team, Gino Marchetti was the New York Yankees’ Number two draftee in 1952. He moved to Dallas in his rookie season, was with the Baltimore Colts from 1953 to 1964, and returned to that team for the 1966 season. He was selected for a record 11 consecutive Pro Bowls and was All-NFL seven years: 1957 to 1962 and 1964. Elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1972, he was also named top defensive end of the NFL’s first 50 years.

Inducted into the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 1985.
