Art Shell is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A tackle with the Oakland Raiders for 15 seasons (1968-82), he was a Pro Bowl selection eight times over three decades, All NFL three times, and All-Conference five times. Shell played in 207 league games and shares the club record with 24 playoff appearances, including starting in two Super Bowl wins.

Inducted into the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 1998.
