Ted Hendricks played nine seasons for the Raiders, revolutionizing the linebacker position in the 1970s and 1980s by operating both behind the line in run and pass coverage and as a pass rusher from what would ordinarily be a defensive end position. Unusually tall at 6’7″ for a linebacker, he was seemingly all over the field, scoring touchdowns in his career on an interception return, a fumble recovery, and the recovery of a blocked kick. He also set a record for linebackers by playing in 215 consecutive games. He played on Raider Super Bowl Championship teams in 1977, 1981, and 1984.

Inducted into the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 2006.
