Rosie Casals developed her tennis skills at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. At the age of 16, she was ranked top 5 in women’s singles for 11 consecutive years. Ranked #1 worldwide in doubles with 12 grand-slam doubles titles, she is a pioneer of women’s tennis, co-founder of the Women’s Tennis Association, and was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1996.
Inducted into the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.
