With great success and in keeping with its long tradition of raising money to “help kids play sports,” the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame hosted its annual golf tournament on Monday, October 2nd at San Francisco’s beautiful Olympic Club, home of the 2012 U.S. Open.

Close to 200 golfers showed up for a fantastic day of golf on the Olympic Club Lake and Ocean courses and an evening of fun. We were granted a day of beautiful sunshine where our patrons enjoyed a day of golf followed by a reception and dinner.

The day opened with patrons checking the clubhouse and obtaining a complementary pair of Nike Shoes.

Guests were able to view and bid on fantastic silent auction items.

After golf patrons enjoyed the cocktail reception in the Garden Room. They were able to meet and mingle with many Bay Area sports celebrities and past BASHOF inductees. After providing prizes to our golf contest winners, our 2017 Honorary Tournament Host, Matt Williams (former SF Giant -2017 BASHOF Inductee) welcomed our patrons – introduced the sports celebrities in the audience.

We finished the reception with a Live Auction with three exceptional packages: Big Horn Experience – PGA West Experience and Trip to the 2018 Masters.

We completed the evening with a great buffet dinner provided by the excellent Olympic Club staff.

It was a great day for our patrons and for BASHOF. The event helped us raise funds for our mission of “helping kids play sports”.
